Party/Shows FAQs

What do you do at a Birthday Party?

We bring in 10-14 live animals each show. The animals are transported securely in plastic bins. We take one animal out at a time and handle it while we talk about it. We give you some interesting information about the creature then implement some interaction time (volunteers, handling, touching ect). Once that animal has been safely and securely put away a new animal will come out. We generally do 1 hour shows.

How does a road show birthday work?

We arrive at your house or another venue around 10 Mins prior to your show time so we can set up. Your show will start at the time you booked for and last approximately 1 hour in length. After the show is over our staff will pack up the animals and say goodbye leaving you and your guests to the remainder of your party.

How far in advance do I need to book a show?

We have busy times and slow times throughout the year. If you are looking for a weekend show with a specific time we recommend 3 months in advance. Anything less will generally be booked around other peoples show times. Please always call us even if its short notice….we will work diligently in attempts to accommodate you.

Can the shows be outside?

We love doing shows outside however secondary to your safety our animal’s health is our greatest concern. We need nice weather… not too cold, and not too hot. Please plan your show both ways and when our show staff arrive we will work with you to find a suitable location for everyone.

How do I book a show?

You can book a show by calling our booking coordinator at 905-522-0133, or by using our booking request form.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

To secure your date and time we do require a $50+HST deposit on all shows. The balance can be paid on the day of your show.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a booking?

If you are canceling a booking all together you will unfortunately lose your deposit. If you are rescheduling a booking with notice (2 weeks before your show or earlier) we will reschedule your show at no cost to you. If you need to reschedule your show without notice (less than 2 weeks notice) we will reschedule your show but you will lose your deposit and need to pay another deposit to rebook.

Does your company carry insurance?

Yes, of course we have proper insurance. This is an absolute must for any organization bringing live animals into a public situation.

Are your shows safe?

Our shows are extremely safe and all of our staff is very well trained. We like to be as interactive as possible. We are clear with rules at the start of the show and if the rules we lay out are being ignored we can’t be as interactive as we would like. Safety for you and your guests as well as for our animals is our major concerns.

Will there be any mess associated with the show?

Not generally. Sometimes accidents happen with animals that can be quickly cleaned up. Also, sometimes very small amounts of wood chips or dirt from the animal’s bins fall out onto the floor. If you are concerned please feel free to put a blanket on the ground and we will stay over top of it while we are doing the show.
